Inscribed to the original recipient (see below) from the author, and initialled thus "From H.E.B. 5.2.38"; inserted in text are the recipient’s 3-page handwritten account of his caving trips in the area, plus a few annotations in margins. Cloth worn at extremities, small split rear spine joint reglued and spine ends also reglued; hence G only, but clean; no d/w. The extensive 3-page handwritten accounts refer to the recipient’s guiding trips in the Mendip caves. The first page (33 lines and one small sketch) is titled "Young Ward’s escapades"; pages 2 and 3 (55 lines), again in very small handwriting, refer to guiding a party of army officers. All this makes for a very interesting caving item: £25.00
